    2006 Crescent City Open

I wanted to put the date out there for everyone to mark their calenders. The 2006 Crescent City Open will be March 4 & 5 2006. It will again be at the Riverside Hilton Hotel in New Orleans.

The date is earlier this year and there should be plenty of hotels available. As an added treat this year the tournament is only a few days after MARDI GRAS. Yes that is correct if you choose you can come down a few day early and catch Mardi Gras and stay a few days getting over the hangover then fence the CCO.

We will post more information when it becomes available. Please feel free to ask any questions.

    See you in New Orleans!

    Cheers

    R

Nothing like announcing it in advance

I would like to go to Mardi Gras. I wonder when my spring break is...

Why is it you expect fencers to get over the hangover?

Shoot! Sorry about that. We really tried to pick a weekend that would not conflict with any of the NCAA stuff as well as the club championships.

    Well good luck at Regionals.

We hope see the rest of you folks in New Orleans!

    Cheers

Hurray! The CCO!! Hopefully I can actually perform well in it this next year...

A few days after Mardi Gras? You mean I only get a few days to recover. Usually it takes me a week...

Glad LSU doesn't have an NCAA team.
I'll be looking forward to it and I hope to see a ton of people there.

You are a teammate of mine, I think you are David but I am not sure.

I really hope that I do better next year than this year. 63rd in Mixed Epee wasn't my happiest moment.

A vulture boards an airplane, carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at him and says, "I'm sorry, sir, only one carrion allowed per passenger."

63rd really isn't that bad if you've only been fencing for 3 months. Plus, add in a knee injury and I'd say you did pretty well.

Next time around is another story - you've had your practice, you've worked hard - you'll do a lot better than last year. Hopefully so will I.
