| Amazon Epee Open About the Amazon Epee Open at DCFC - does anyone know if you have to preregister or if you just pay at the door?
I have the site open and all it says is that the fee is 20 dollars.

| I am not an official DCFC fencer/member, but I am sure that you can pay at the door. VA/DC has no preregister only events that I am aware of and I probably would have heard about it. It is a really cool event and I encourage you to come and bring a friend!

| Yup... no preregister for this. Just come as you are.
I'm glad you're coming and I hope you have fun!
It looks like we're really close to getting an A1 again this year!

| Thank you! I guess I'm just too used to having to register like 3 months in advance or risk 100 dollar late fees...
They say that people from Europe and all over have come before...is anyone else planning to go?

| Last year was the first year, and people came from as far east as France, as far south as Florida, and as far north as New Hampshire! (Of course, the French girl fences for DCFC right now, but you get the picture.)
Here are last year's results, if you're interested: http://capdiv.usfencing.org/cap0606a.htm

Actually, she's kind of retired of fencing after a one-year very successful career and she went back to basket ball! (I really can't see why she did that )
See you!

| Wow...there's a woman who's 6' 2 1/2" at my club. When she fenced sectionals, people had absolutely no idea what to do against such a tall person and got completely slaughtered. So if this girl wasn't doing that well despite her height...maybe it's better she stuck with basketball.

You can't make somebody fence if he/she does not like that... even he/she has the perfect body for this sport! |

| Rated Tournament There is no pre-registration from the Amazon; however, responses from fencers show that we have at least 2A's , 2B's, and 2C's; enough to make this an A-2 tournament, as it was last year.
Come join us!!
