Array A shameless plug for an equipment vendor... Since so much time and talk goes into "which vendor is good?" on the board, I thought I should put in a plug for one that I've just begun to deal with and have had a very positive experience.
I ordered a pair of size 42 (US) knickers from H.O.M. Fencing Supply, owned and operated by our own Sam Signorelli, aka Purple Fencer.
I was apprehensive at first; those of you who have tried to order knickers in anything larger than size 38 (US) know what I'm talking about. In fact, I am now on my third return to Blade because they can't understand why size 44 Euopean doesn't fit a size 44 American--but I digress.
Sam was prompt, courteous, flexible, and accommodating. The merchandise arrived in a timely fashion, appears to be well-made, fit right the first time, and is competatively priced.
In sum, I would reccommend H.O.M. to anyone buying equipment.
Thanks, Sam and H.O.M.
P.S.: The knickers got here Thursday; the spaghetti--Thank you!--just arrived today (Saturday). Go figure...

Array Find a post of Purple Fencer. His website is part of his signature ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

Array Sam, you should only be allowed to issue purple cards. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Dare I ask what the penalty would be?
Actually, I did a bit for Good Day Live this morning with a few other fencers and some stage combat guys. I decided to play it straight for once and wore white socks and shoelaces for the first time since 1998...I didn't recognize myself on camera!

Ah, the sacrifices we make for the sake of our sport...
So has the coverage aired already and if so how was it? Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

It was REAL brief. There were three spots on the show...#1 was 4 guys going at it in our kind of fencing (that's the part I was in) #2 was two guys doing a gladiator style fight (SwordPlay does stage combat for the movies as well as Olumpic-style) #3 had the commentator dressed in whites (even with a Euro 62 jacket, we couldn't close the neck...his head was on a damnned tree trunk!), making a few comments, then doing a very short stage duel with a couple of guys. Most of the focus was ont he stage combat stuff.
It aired live, swo you've already missed it. Similar Threads -
