Yeah, I beat ya first round of the DE's if you're who I think you were. I got beat 2nd round by Sean, he was better on distance than I was and had a nice side flick he was setting me up with if I remember right.

I had a good time, and going to the competition might of saved my life that day. While I was out competing a large part of my bathroom ceiling in my apartment collapsed. Apparently one of my upstairs neighbors plumbing sprung a leak weakening it. I probably would of been injured or killed if I was in there when it went which could well of happened had I been home and in that room at the time..

Anyhow, that was me you beat... I'll keep an eye out for you next tourney I fence foil in. Can you say "grudge match"? (Kidding of course!!)

No problem, i'll be happy to fence you in any competition, or if you want to swing by EMU's club and visit. I think being willing to test your skill against everyone no matter what their skill level (better or worse) relative to your own is part of the spirit of fencing and helps to develop both your character and skill as a fencer.

I agree, Mike. It's one of the best "rushes" one can experience, IMHO. Step on the strip against someone you never saw before, don the mask, and GO! What a rush! Can't wait to go to the Italian Duelling Sabre seminar and tournament in June, as well. See the post on CF Sabre Rules.
