| Hola! Hajimima****e! Yo! & any other greeting in a foreign language you can think of! Howdy y'all! After doing a quick perusal on this section of the forum, it seems like the polite thing to do and post another (yet totally new) greeting on here.
Simple breakdown: Was a fencer for about 3 years before moving to Japan 5 years ago to teach English to elementary school kids . Awesome job (still doing it!) but the closest fencing club was about 2 and half hours away, had no wheels and if I took the trains I would have to come home the following day. Total bummer-though to make up for it I took up karate, aikido and kendo (to which I have the honorable rank of token foreign whipping boy/guniea pig for really painful moves!)
Skip to the present (3 weeks ago to be exact) and I just found that a local high school in my new town has a fencing team! I introduced myself and have been going ever since!
And before anyone asks: I fence both foil and epee, but my true loyalty lies with the saber boys! Unfortunately, all the clubs I've been at have NEVER had their token psycho, so I've never really had a chance to unleash the beast except for a couple of lucky lessons from visting fencers.
Nice to meet y'all and I hope that I am worthy to be in y'all's esteemed company on this forum *bows deeply*
Arigato and gracias!

| Hail Aztecookami wellcome!
It is nice to met you. You have learn karate; what ryu? I was trained in past in ninpo taijutsu and jiuzitsu.
I think that you will fence better with sabre; because it is more closer than the other two weapons with kendo techniks.
Any way! I am glad to see you.
Γειά σου!!!It means be healthy!

| Bienvenidos to the forum...I like your accent(s). I'm also glad you found a way to get back into fencing. I took aikido about 35 years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. Wish I could resume somehow.
So...welcome and feel free to post opinions, facts or nonsense, just like the rest of us.
