| The writing on that show is great, so are the voices. The animation---ech.

( What's with poor Stuey? Did he inhale a football or something? ) | It's unique. Same thing with the Simpsons and South Park, their animation is their identity. |

| Used to be one had to have some artistic talent to be an animator. These days, though... |

I'd say those days ended in the early 1960s, with the utter cr@p animation that Warner Bros, MGM, DePatie/Freling, Terrytoons, and Hanna-Barbera started putting out.

| After having read ess's quotes from the show, it'll surely be something I'd look into if 1. I had a tv, 2. lived in the us, 3. would not have fencing the time and day it was aired.
Cheers
Pauli

the reason for stewies oddly shaped head is that he was bouncing on the bed when he was younger and hit his head on the ceiling, flattening it out. I dont remember which episode it was, but it was rather hilarious seeing the reason for his misshapen head

Looney Tunes was painstakingly animated, and it was really freaking good too. Terrytoons and Hanna -Barbera sucked- (Well, the animation sucked- I still liked the shows). I don't know what MGM put out, and I don't know Depatie/Freling.
That said, yesterday's episode was astounding. I was reeling in shock for most the episode with my feet above my head. It was awesome. |

| Looney Tunes were outstanding UNTIL the 60s, when they and the rest started sucking big time. Their budgets were slashed, they lost all the good talent, and it all just... sucked. You're thinking of the older ones, which were amazing.

| So whatever happened to Woody Woodpecker, Underdog, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Heckle & Jeckle, Mighty Mouse, Fat Albert, and all the other cartoons you rarely (if ever) see on TV any more? Seems like all the older cartoons they show these days are either Warner Bros, Hanna-Barbera, Tom & Jerry or Popeye. Where'd all the others go?
