| New tips In the Fencing Discyussion section there was ligth talk about "New Complex Epee tips" that would not need grounded strips. I see this as impossible,What would it do, sense whether it hits the ground or a jacket or sumthing liek that, Or was this all made up rubbish?

| The post he was talking about was actually for Foil. What was involved was a tip that had an insulator down the center. This is one of the ideas for reelless, where off-target would not be used. The lame would complete the circuit between the two halfs.
This was brought up by our friend who is on the Spanish SEMI committee.

| I apologize, I see where you got the idea. I believe Mr. Exnicios was trying to make a joke.

| Well,
you wouldn't need a grounded strip if your point had a very small and very accurate altimeter inside it...
That would be pretty complex

Rene Roch is convince that this will greatly improve the televisability of epee fencing.
