I mean, who cares - it's a good show that requires almost no brain power to enjoy, and there's jokes in it for both kids and adults... plus, it gets "be nice to people" messages across without being preachy.
Oh, and pirates are cool, too. Darrrrr...

| If Spongebob and Patrick are gay, Gary is going to become a crazed serial killer. (Because of his confused pet identities)

| Did you see the episode where Spongebob got Larry the snail? He was a crazed serial killer, I think...

| Kismet is the English derivation of the Arabic word "Qasama", which means fate/destiny. Eh, I just liked the meaning and thought it sounded kinda cool.

| Bokken is the name of the wooden sword used to train for the katana (and used by a certain swordsman at a certain duel on Ganryu island). It's also my principle personal email account.
On most other forums...actually...in every other forum I use the name Linrandir. It's a bit of a spin off of Mithrandir. It has been noted by many people that I walk quietly and tend to surprise people. And that I tend to arrive places not early, not late, but exactly when I intend to.
Then there's the whole damn dirty pointy-eared hippy thing, but I've no idea where that comes from. My ears are not pointed.

| I made-up my name as I typed.... I gave no thought what-so-ever. I used "grl" instead of "girl" thinking that someone would have chosen that name already (I didn't even bothered to check what was used).
I hadn't planned on staying any longer than it took to get answers to my first posts, so to me... my name didn't matter, it was just a hoop I had to jump through. I had no intention of hanging around on a forum, as I have a very busy life.
Having said that, I've enjoyed my time here. I like the people I've met in fencing and this forum has not been an exception.
I don't know how much time I can continue to spend in front of the screen.... but it will be whatever it will be.

| There's been some new members since this thread came about... Is there any meaning associated with your posting name?

| My *real* name is Spiggy Topes. I just chose "Robert Smith" as being boring, mundane, unremarkable and .. ordinary, I guess. Well, actually, it's not really Spiggy Topes, but if it wasn't Robert Smith, that's what it would have been. Unless it was EJ Thribb.
It's what I tend to use elsewhere, and it's useful in googling my old posts to usenet, among other things. It's not unique, but near enough so I don't have to wade through too much junk. Means I can use google groups as auxilliary memory next time I lose a hard drive and have to figure out what's with this stupid motherboard, for instance.
Oh, and my avatar's lifted from the same source, by the way.

| Latin references...
Rex, king. And sciurus, squirrel, or at least according to standard scientific nomenclature. |

| Epee Scherma. According to freetranslation.com fencing means "Scherma" in italian. I'm mostly Italian and a great deal greek so the screen name has a little to do with heritage. I'd feel better though if someone who speaks italian can verify to me that scherma = fencing. Can anyone? So... I'm Epee Fencing.
