You just can't tell with these fencers DFP.

Oh, and Moonitic - no insult intended, really. I've been known to don the old t-tunic myself, and I feel entitled to rag on them only because I am one of them on occasion. Card-carrying member, sad to say. Where else can I do long-distance archery shoots and not have to contend with scary guys with compound bows and broadheads? I've met some really interesting people there, though their rapier is a tad silly. "Dead, my lord!"

It's just "mail". Or if you really want to be persnickety, "maille". The word means "chain" in Old French, so by saying "chain mail" you are just being redundant. The phrase is a Victorian abomination...
