The Benny Hill Show

Anyone here a fan of The Benny Hill show? I don't think there has been a better comedy show on tv since.

That show sucked. It was a british dude who wished he was a redneck. It was sad.

There have been a lot of funny shows since, but I always did like the show. I think you can get the whole thing on DVD now.

Yes. One of the more underrated comics of his time. The show did get a bit repetitive after awhile, but I generally enjoyed good old fashioned slapstick humor.

I never could get into the Benny Hill Show.

GB has put out far superior comedy series over the years

Faulty Towers
The Young Ones
The Office
Monty Python's Flying Circus
Spaced (haven't seen it yet, but I've heard nothing but great things)

Benny Hill is only funny for five minutes at a time, and even then only to laugh at how bad British comedy used to be. But then, slapstick really isn't my thing

A little flaw at times, but funny......
Though, there are other very good comedy shows that certainly beat Benny Hill.

Some of the dialog was rather hard to follow. Not nearly as hard to follow as the Two Ronnies.

I particularly enjoyed the poems. ( "The wisest man I ever knew..." )
