I've found it!

(This isn't in the armory because I'm mocking an eBay vendor)

The elusive Sabre pistol grip has at last been found!

http://www.alexandrsport.com/sabre.htm

Next to bottom weapon described.

If I have the money, I shall seriously consider ordering one in a few weeks (well, probably not).
Anybody else seen this fencing marvel?

Actually, I have seen one. A friend of mine in DC made one. Unfortunately, it was left handed, so I could not really get a feel for it!

Acaba is correct, this has been done before. The friend in DC isn't the first to do this but he had the better design.

Many older fencers stop fencing sabre because they have arthritis and can't hold the grip very well. These grips would let them continue to fence and not have to switch to epee due to the grip.

No matter whose design it is, I hope it takes off.

The sabre blade competition is one dollar more expensive than the sabre blade practice.
