I think he meant "NoHo" would be considerably more common than "NoHa".

    And it certainly doesn't have 2 h's....

I was just going to ask if I could use NoHo instead.
Thanks for the correction. It's always embarassing to walk around with the hem of your skirt tucked into the back of your panties... and nice of you to stop me and whisper in my ear!

There's an org at smith that's currently trying to get officially recognized that recently sent a letter to the city planner of Amherst and asked them if they would give their H to northampton. the guy said that while he felt that Amherst didn't need their H, he didn't feel at liberty to give it to them, but offered them the H from his last name instead.

someone's response was that the students time would be better spent aquiring food for a food bank....

Indeed, that was the point I was making. I can't honestly say I've ever heard someone say "NoHa".

    Haha.
Believe it or not, the UMass debate team has T-shirts that say:
    "UMass Debate. Get it?"

I'm on my high school debate team, and whenever there are signs that say debators --> to indicate what corridor to wal down (for a meet), someoen would invariable write "mass" on top of it. Last time a student from my school did it he got caught.....only student I've ever heard of getting caught for it and it happened about 6 times a year for at least four years....says something about my school i guess. :-P

You guys have a nice campus up there... I was staying in Van Meter, sleeping on the floor with two other people

Things get a little hazy after arriving... I remember something about stuffing chicken fingers from the dining hall into paper cups, and stealing 9 cups worth. Then something about standing in the middle of a field in thick fog at 2 am, throwing around a giant yellow ball. When I woke up the next morning, I had dried blood on my fingers go figure.

Oh yea! and 5 songs/.75 DDR and In The Groove at the movie theater arcade. Good stuff.

Van Meter is HUGE. Larger than the SouthWest towers, apparently (in terms of residents). Did they have hot water this time (they often don't) ?
