ABOUT THE CAMP ...
This camp is geared toward competitive fencers. Emphasis will be placed on competitive bouting, strategy, and tactical skills. We are inviting TOP fencers from Germany, Israel, Ukraine, Singapore, China, Canada, and other countries to cross swords together, practice various techniques of fencing, and share bouting experiences.

Ralf Bissdorf, Germany – Three-times Olympian, Silver and Gold Olympic Medalist. Ralf Bissdorf is ranked 3rd in the World in 2005. He won countless number of European and World Championship. In 2005 alone, Mr. Bissdorf was a Bronze medalist in Senior World Cups in Cairo, Shanghai, Seoul, and Venice. Ralf is considered one of the fencing legends of our times.
Or Tomer, Israel – Six-times national champion of Israel. He has most recently taken the Gold in the 2005 Senior World Cup in Copenhagen, as well as the year before in World Cup in Hungary and World Cup in Denmark. Mr. Or Consistently fought his way to the highest levels in world Cups events over many years.

CAMP SITE ...
We will be training at our state-of-art 5000 sq.ft. facility featuring 8 fully equipped fencing strips, stretching and exercise area, lounge, showers, and dressing rooms. We will also play in the California sun at the beautiful Bay Shore Park located only minutes away.
The facility is located only 10 minutes away from Stanford University and downtown Palo Alto, 20 minutes away from San Francisco, and 10 minutes from San Francisco Airport. The club is easily accessed from all major bay area highways, located off 101 and highway 84.There are many hotels just minutes away. Menlo Park is only 2 hours away from Sacramento (location of 2005 Summer Nationals) and its an easy afternoon ride.
COACHING STUFF ...
Camp Director: Coach Alex Kuznetsov Coach Alex Kuznetsov has been involved in fencing for more than 30 years. Alex coached members of the US, Canada, and Israel National Teams. Prior to EMFC, Alex served as varsity team coach at Stanford University. A few of his achievements include coaching Sean McClain to the 2001 National Championship; coaching Iris Zimmerman to the 1st Place at the 2000 NCAA Fencing Championship; coaching Tim Chan, Alex Wood, Ilya Miloslavski to placement in the U.S. National Team in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004; coaching Steve Geberman to the 1st Place in the 2002 World Cup; and many others. Alex is an internationally-acclaimed fencing judge.
Coach TK Wong TK Wong, co-founder of Singapore's top fencing club Z Fencing, is an Olympic solidarity certified fencing coach who has had over 20 years of competitive experience. He was a captain of the Singapore Fencing team winning a Team Silver and Individual Bronze at the South East Asia Games 1993, and several times national champion. TK studied at MIT, and was a champion at the New England Intercollegiate Competitions in 1989.
Oleg Nekrasov and Alexey Fortunatov Mr. Nekrasov and Mr. Fotunatov are internationally top-ranked fencers. They are members of the Ukrainian National Team, and represented Ukraine in several world cups, European and World championships.
International Top Rank Fences An international staff of fencing masters will provide a great experience for the campers. All campers will receive individual attention!
