    Hello, nice to meet everyone

    I'm 22 years old, a college student, and a new user on fencing.net. I fenced competitively for alot of my teens, then quit for a few years. Now I'm starting to take it up again (its painful though - the Denver NAC was my first tournament in years, and I thought I'd collapse from oxygen deprivation and general out-of-shapeness). I think it's great that there is a site like this nowadays, so fencers from all over can compare notes!

    No, no...it's just that lately there seems to have been a steady march of epeeists through the Introductions forum. I was only playing the odds.

    Nope,

    Epee is by far the most admirable weapon here, and certainly the people's choice.

    There are only a few trip-forward-and-bang-together types around, although they tend to be rather vocal lot.

    Well, I appreciate the compliment, but it wasn't much of a choice. My coach made me do epee after three months of foil basics (for which I'm eternally grateful to him!)
