    Hi!

Skipped two grades during Jr. High, went from Swedish class #7 to #10. We did not, and still do not, have any cheerleaders in Sw. schools.

The school were I went classes#2-7 was a bad place, and in a bad time when no one was to excel above the mediocre.

Things were much better when I came to classes #10-12, Swedish gymnasium. I did not have have my life pestered by dumbest, least study-inclined, and bullying dregs. (Do I sound bitter?)

Almost all schools in Sweden - including mine - are gender-inclusive, country-funded, free (except for taxes), and do not have school uniforms.

Locally known alums: from my 1st school, a top opera bass-baritone at the national opera, and att my gymnasium, a few guys who played Ice Hockey in the local national series team (one of which went on to score while playing on the national team in the World Championships).

    Have a nice time!

my school. absolutely chock full of famous former pupils, including p.g. wodehouse, raymond chandler, shackleton and bob monkhouse. also a guy to look out for is chewitel ejiofor, a great actor in the new woody allen film and my mate at school.

oh, and for those of you who have seen shakespeare in love, ben affleck's character is the man who founded my school.

so, we might say, it was a little bit posh.

go to a school in california, good sized classes, 30-35 kids. but right now i am dying in all of my ap classes and with the tests in about a week, i'm on the verge of quitting. but oh well, i'll get through it. junior year is definetly the worst year to be in high school. have around 2000 kids at my high school and the building is round and is 4 stories and its also sinking as well. rich kids go there but the school is poor, ya know mercedes and bmws in the parking lot but the school doesn't look that great. not that much fighting, except between the hispanics and chaldeans. not many drug problems, except basically you know the people the do them. never seen anyone at my school who has been pregnant either. they must all get abortions or their just in all the classes that i'm not in...

seems strict when u first enter but now i'm in grade 12, alot of the teachers are really friendly and casual to ya. 1500 kids? i think from grade 6 to 12. the school is HUGE with off campus sporting fields and an year-round camping lodge by a lake.
