Array New baby! Mom had number six!! He was born this morning around 7:20, a la homebirth. Everything is going fine, even though mom and dad called the midwife ten minutes before he was born, so by the time she got here he was already born. Luckily dad knows exactly what to do, because they had homebirths for Sarah and Mia, now 5 and 3. He is cute and fat, with lots of black hair. Mom is feeling great, but she is tired so they're taking a nap right now. *In heaven all the interesting people are missing.*

Array P.S.
There is no name yet, but my parents are thinking about Collin James, Dante Leonardo, or Carlos. Or something different. Any suggestions or feedback? *In heaven all the interesting people are missing.*

Array They like kids.....
Loke, Hmmmm, I don't know that my parents will like that one. It doesn't go with our 'theme.' Jenna, Emily, Mia, etc. *In heaven all the interesting people are missing.*

Array Sure, call him Dante Leonardo if you want to get him picked on at school every day of his life...!
The other two would be better imho. James is my favourite though. A good solid name, not too fancy, not too grown-up for a little boy or to baby-ish as he gets older.
Anyway congratulations - I hope you are helping your mum out after her hard work - she must be tired and sore, so mind you look after her! Louweasel

Array Congratulations!!
A truly joyful occasion.
6 is a great number. I am the oldest of 10.
Loke would be a cool name. I rather like William, Joseph, or Thomas, but Collin is a good name. Dante Leonardo would certainly be unique. -

Array If I had kids, I'd name them after fencers... I'm that weird. I'd have a a daughter named erinn, a daughter named emily, a son named Leif, a son named Donovan.... lol "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -

Array How about Inigo? Or Westley? I'm sort of partial to Connor (or Conor), Liam, Ian, Sean... I'd avoid the Dante Leonardo option unless you expect him to be really good at the liberal arts.
Make sure Mum gets lots of sleep and eats her veggies. And drinks lots of water and milk. Childbirth (and nursing, if she's doing that route, which I assume she is if this was a home birth!) takes a *lot* out more out of a woman than she is willing to admit, and those postpartum hormones go raging and she isn't aware of the fact she can't do it all. Even if she's had 5 before this, every birth is different and her mind and body will react differently. So be kind, do all the housework and cooking, and force her to sleep.
One very important thing to consider: your other sibs will need lots of love and attention right now while mom and dad are busy. Pay very careful attention to their moods, take them on special outings, get them involved. They need more individual attention now that they ever have before, and those little ones are at a very sensitive age. You sound like a loving daughter and big sister, so now's your chance to let that shine for them! Congratulations! -

Array I like Connor and Collin.
Stay away from Sebastian and Dante and Buckmaster. -
How about Demian, or Gregory? -

Array How bout Jack, I've always liked JAck.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! I want to be remembered when I'm dead. I want books written about me. I want songs sung about me. And then, hundreds of years from now, I want episodes of my life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age.

Array Congratulations and good luck!
What about Benedict Joseph
Dante or Leonardo but not both. i have always liked Chrysogonous but you would really get beaten up with that name . I caught this morning morning’s minion, king-
dom of daylight’s dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding
Of the rolling level underneath him steady air, and striding
High there, how he rung upon the rein of a wimpling wing
In his ecstasy! then off, off forth on swing,
As a skate’s heel sweeps smooth on a bow-bend: the hurl and gliding
Rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding
Stirred for a bird,—the achieve of; the mastery of the thing! Similar Threads -
