    Riddle game.

Rules are simple. Think of an item. Post an obscure "definition" of this item. Be obscure but "It's a black rectangle" for your file cabinet isn't good enough.

First Riddle: I see something that is flat yet can hold vast worlds.

I'm hoping that I get better as this goes along
"Since when does being a patriot in America mean shutting your mouth?"

A piece of paper? You can write about all kinds of stuff on a piece of paper.

    If that's right, then:

A little scurrying rodent I'm named after, yet squeeze me and I shall never squeak.
Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth.

If TRH is wrong I'd like to try for (World) Atlas.

Close enough, I was thinking of a book. I figured it would be an easy one, but I think I need to develop my riddle creation skills.

I know a word of letters three.
Add two, and fewer there will be.

    An egg.

Its from the Hobbit, where Bilbo and Gollum take turns posing riddles. This one nearly stumped Gollum, since he had not seen eggs for quite a time.

    EDIT: My riddle.

You are in a room with three light switches, each having 2 clearly marked positions, On and Off. The adjoining room has three light bulbs. Your task is to match each light switch with the bulb it controls. You may only enter the room with the light bulbs once.

    How do you proceed?

Turn the lights on (or off if they are on). That's the easy answer anyway.

yeah I don't know a riddle right now.

Open the door to the adjoining room. Don't go in yet. Start turning the switches and look (from outside) to see which switch turns on which light.

    MINE:

There is a word in the English language:

The first two letters refer to a man
The first three letters refer to a woman
The first four letters refer to a great man
The whole word relates to a great woman.

I want to be remembered when I'm dead. I want books written about me. I want songs sung about me. And then, hundreds of years from now, I want episodes of my life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age.
