| I think they're quite the minor price to pay if it helps Craig keep the site afloat. Doing this sort of thing takes time and money, kids. That Craig does as much as he does while also doing the family thing is pretty darned impressive to me. Good on ya, Craig. And if clicking through on any of the ads brings in an additional penny or two, just say the magic word. |

| Meh, I didn't mind them. At the bottom of the page, so no interference with the viewing pleasure.
And I strongly suspect that f.net could have quite the clicking campaign to boost Craig's numbers.... :)
-B :)
*who, perhaps, just maybe, clicked on about a dozen the first day he noticed them just to help Craig out :)*

I don't mind ads in the least, so long as they aren't invasive. I can deal with 100 moving smiley faces on the side of the screen if it means that a great site stays up.
And Craig is my hero.
(On the other hand, I hate it when ads start to go too far...like you log onto a site, and there's 3 or 4 popups, and those obnoxious popups that refuse to leave the CENTER of the screen...like ebaumsworld...) |

| I didn't mind them too much either. If it helps Craig run the site...
Just imagine where we'd all be without F.net; I'd have to work while at work!

| Thanks for the comments. This is one thing that I'm trying to figure out how to best optimize the site. Keep it free for users to come in, but also cover all of the costs and have some money to plow back into the site.
Some more ads will have to make their way into the site somewhere to help out as I try to have money set aside to pay authors for their work (I've paid a few authors whose articles were featured on the front page), and the increased traffic and database size means I'll be upgrading to a dedicated server very soon, which will really increase the cost to maintain the site.
There may be some sort of difference in ad rotation between Guest, Registered, and GoGreen members - but I need to work that out.
Thanks for your support.

| I didn't mind them, either. I noticed them, but they were pretty unobtrusive where they were. |
