very nice smooth travel, but haven't had them in use long enough to see how they hold up long term.

glowstix, I've been using the ptfe coated tips for a few months now (epee) and I really really like them . I've had no problems to report, haven't had any lost or missing screws (only the ones in my head), the barrels show no signs of nicks, dings, or wear around the screw holes, travel has been smooth with no noted sticking or birrs to remove. I use the weapons 2-3 times weekly and am quite pleased with them.

I've used them the past couple years. They are very smooth, and they don't get nicks or dings. However, they have other issues. There are some quality control issues. The contact springs don't stay set especially because they are not a consistent length. I've received tips that are drilled for screws less than half the size of the ones that are supposed to fit. I've had the tips split where the metal end has broken off. And I've had one barrel split completely in half (probably my fault for this one).

All of these reasons have sent me looking for other tips now. All in all, I put the LP on par with the Uhlmann/Allstar although I mostly recommend the German tips to people because of availability of parts. The french tips are far inferior to both the LP and the German.

tell me about it i've had one french tip now that actually gets stuck!! the travel isn't smooth at all; feels like there's gravel inside the tips..and i clean them 10 times as much as i do the german ones.
