Recommendations for a club in Queens/LI?

It has come to my attention that despite living in Queens my entire life and fencing for the past 6 years, almost none of it was done at home. So, over the summer, I'll need to train, obviously...what are good sabre clubs to go to in the vicinity? I've been going to the Island Fencing Academy, where Jerome Cordero coaches sabre, but it can be a pain to get to sometimes with the traffic on the expressway. I COULD go to the North Shore Fencing Club, but the prices are utterly ludicrous. SO, barring those two, does anybody have any places I should have a look at?

Have you checked out the woodside fencing club? I don't know how good the saber is, but the people who go there are really nice

I commute from Queens to NYAC in Manhattan (N/W at 57th St)....don't know about LI clubs, though.

Island Fencing Academy is the best place in the world

You could try the FCLI.

NYFC .. sabre = amazing

its worth it .. there's always someone to fence.

I don't have the money for the Fencer's Club's membership fees, and they don't allow open fencing, or so it says on their site.

Plus there's a one year waiting list.

not only is FCLI farther from Queens than Island Fencing Academy, but that place is practically falling apart.
