| Whoa, I've got one of those! Except mine has an intact blade. Mine was a gift from my kids back in 1981 or '82. It's a cool toy.

| Have just recently been at my parent's place and saw that I still had a few zmurfs...ehm, smurfs, standing there. I used to have many of them, all gave them away. Possibly the most stupid thing I've ever done...one of the most......
I think zmurfs are cute......

| Dutch? No, they're Belgian, to be more specific, Wallonian.
Btw, why are they called in german 'Trumps' ? It's such a strange change of name... |

(I mean, not that I'm particularly proud of this Dutch production, or maybe I should be, don't know, lets not even get started....)
In German, they're called: Schlumpf

| Well, thats something else: Father Abraham (as he is called) made a song about the smurfs and decided to try to beat the world record of most translated song ( I think they even have a Korean version... )
But the creator of the cartoon/comic, Pierre Culliford, a.k.a 'Peyo' came form Brussels.
(ok, so he's not Wallonian, but he a french speaking Belgian) |
