It was an epic battle for the ages... Or would have been if we hadn't run out of time.

Actually, it was still pretty epic.

My hat goes off to RkfdFencer, who won 45-43. Does he want to tell the rest of the story?

I can't even figure out what Inq said, as I keep falling asleep halfway through his post every time I try to read it. Luckily, now I have a cure for insomnia that works even faster than the epee lockout time.

Breakfast, fencing, lunch, fencing, dinner, fencing, in France.

Now when people ask me what my ideal day would be, I will have an answer...

    Ditto. Oh, so ditto.
'cept the France part - there are equally appealing alternatives.

This is true- the France part is the least important ingredient.

Spain, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan: all equally appealling alternatives.

It would even be nice at home.

Yes, with a schedule like 'food, fence, food, fence, food, fence, sleep' the location isn't really as important as the quality of the fencing. Maybe the quality of the food, at least for some of you reading this.
My fencing philosophy = quantity over quality. Eliminate the rest periods! Fence all three weapons! 15 touches for Vet DE's!

Something tells me that you wouldn't care too much what kind of food there was, RkfdFencer...

Personally, as long as there are Cheerios I'm good to go all day.

Yes, but why are you discussing fencing in a thread about epee?

so, i got injured a few months ago, and between that, bar prep, and now work, i haven't fenced in almost 4 months. i'm ready to get back in the swing of things, though.

do you guys think it'd be better to start up with lessons again, or just jump right in and do a competition?
