| I've touched a silver medal from the Olympics before... but it was for a gymnast, not a fencer... also an Olympic torch =)

| They have an olympic torch at the Northwest Fencing Center, which I've seen but not touched, as it's behind glass. Along with like 2 dozen bloody national championship medals.
I fenced foil the other night for lack of an epee opponent... And what do you know, I can kick all the foilist's asses at both epee AND foil!

| It's ok, I fenced like an epee fencer, so the effect was lessened.

An epee fencer is innately superior to a foilist. Think about it: they have to memorize arcane rules of right of way, while we simply get the concept and fence accordingly.
A foilist is essentially a novice epee fencer with training wheels. For one of us to defeat one or many of them is hardly something to brag about.

| I object to that one. I'll have you know I confound many an epee fencer and don't do terribly bad against them. Ask DE_S_T, we've fenced twice and I've confounded her both times.

| How well foilists do against an epeeist in epee depends on how much prep the foilist likes doing. If they are a preparation whore, they get smoked.
