For years I only fenced foil. For years I claimed that I would only fence foil. After a while, I started noticing that the epeeists were having way more fun than I was and I tried it out.

I now understand that epee is a far more "honest" weapon than foil. I am addicted to it and will fence epee every opportunity I get.

I was a serious foilist for a year, never imagined I'd do anything else. Now I'm hardcore epee'. I like it better because it puts the bout in your hands, not a director. Plus, I always had a bit more fun doing it. But yeah, the old saying holds true: Sabre is theatre, Foil is art, Epee' is truth.

I BELIEVE - I BELIEVE!!! I'm saved from biased directors who haven't got a clue what's going on. I’m delivered from restrictive target area and set free to skewer anywhere my point desires. I want to bounce (a lot)! And while I don't dream of touching feet I yearn for the day when I can use one for target without getting my face impaled. Hallelujah, I’m an epeeist!!!!!
