Anyone played this classic 1990 game by Jordan Mechner? I managed to download a fan's version of the game, and realised whoever designed the game in the first place must be a fencer. In the duelling parts you'll see your character and his opponents go en garde with blades nearly horizontal as if they were both epeeists, but as you progress up the levels they get really good at the counterparry riposte. Only they don't bounce
Yeah, I have POP I, II, III. I like the action sequences in the SNES version. The cling-chang cling-chang as the parry ripostes are going back and fourth. Then if you get hit, he makes a great wounded sound too, its like "OOT!". The original series is quite excellent.
