| Hm. After observing topic starter's previous posts and this particular thread I have come to the following conclusion:
Say hello to our latest fencing.net troll, reallyfatfencer.
Caution, feeding trolls can be dangerous.

| Yes. But they should not be permitted to fleche.
I also hear that those white outfits are very slimming. |

And sorry to burst your bubble, but no: the whites are neither slimming nor flattering. I look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy when I suit up.
But fat people can fence. Oh, yeah!

| Seriously, I have seen some exceptionaly gracefull, skilled *big* fencers who will pick you apart on the piste.
I believe that one of the best things about fencing is that anyone can succeed at some level, in some way, regardless of age, height, gender, occupation, weight, etc.
As long as you have a little patience, and a good teacher...
I have also seen the kind that fleche constantly, indescriminitely, and very badly. One time when visiting another club, I saw one fleche way off the piste, completely out of control, tumbling across the floor nearly into the wall.
It was absurd and ridiculous.
There is an argument to be made that the fleche should never be taught at all... |

| I saw a rather large sabre fencer today with *exceptional* bladework. He would advance a few steps and begin using his advantage of a long arm and a very good hand. Granted, he couldn't really stand up to a very athletic fencer (then again, there is a reason people work out-- generally to look better and perform better) but against some of his opponents, he did very well. |
