Top Insurance Company under investigation

Another major player in the U.S. economic scene is under Federal investigation for allegations of abuse and fraud.

Guess what... the main man is another one of Bush's "Rangers" club which means he "personally" helped raise sizable contributions to Bush's reelection campaign. Hey, why don't they just get the list and go down it one by one and nip these problems in the bud?

Hold on a second...

You mean to tell me that major fundraisers for presidential candidates happen to be big businessmen? And that some of them happen to be crooked?

I am shocked, shocked! to find out about this. How long has this been going on? This never happened under Clinton. Or Bush Sr. Or Reagan. Or Carter. Or Ford. Or Nixon. Or Johnson. Or Kennedy. Or Eisenhower. Or Truman. Or Roosevelt. Or...

Red #40 will become famous soon enough
Big business men have always contributed but they have not always been crooked. Usually crooked, but not always ;-) Perhaps the answer is to really regulate how contributions are raised and spent. Most of the laws now are so riddled with loopholes that they are pointless. Just because it has happened before does not mean its alright.

As I recall and recall and recall, GW was the CHARACTER candidate, the INTEGRITY President, the MAN TO BRING DIGNITY BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE leader.

Just because it's happened before doesn't make it right. And pretending to be better than the others before you doesn't absolve you of the same dirty stain.

The difference between GWB and those other presidents (except perhaps Reagan), besides wrapping himself in a cloak of "integrity", has been his adminitration's efforts to emasculate the regulational oversight that protects us from his campaign contributors.
