| I tend to remove the labels from my clothing, most of which comes from JC Penney, Filene's, or Macy's. I also wear a lot of Beatles t-shirts. |

| LL Bean, mostly.
Some Land's End (mostly dress shirts).
Oh yeah, and I always wear a nice assortment of Turbo hair and Merlin hair....

I might consider wearing more 'labels' if I felt I could afford it, or if they ever made something that fits my oddly shaped (or so it seems...) body.

dispute the latter portion of your statement.

| Jeans and tee shirts all the way. No labels really, just whatever.

| Right now? Pjs and a Cannes Film Festival tee-shirt. Normally I wear jeans and a tee-shirt, mainly Gap. They're almost the only ones who make long sizes, much to my annoyance. Not much for lables though otherwise. |

| I do like the Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic basics. Never really go out of style, always there to flesh out the wardrobe. I've got Gap clothes from the 80s that still look good.
Don't consider them fashion, really. More like just decent clothing.

As Brian said, from your profile pic, it doesn't look like your body is oddly shaped at all. As a matter of fact [comment deleted to avoid embarassing Ziverzmufen] and that's what I like about you.

| The Gap's myriad incarnations, as well as Old Navy and Banana Republic, are all part of the same clothing company. Banana Republic is their nice stuff, Gap is the core basics, and Old Navy is the knockaround clothes.
I liked Banana Republic in the old days, when it was like safari clothes. It's nicer now, though.

Let me try to explain: I consider my body to be quite 'ordinary' for a woman of my age. I'm not thin but I'm not exactly 'fat' either. However when I try to shop for clothes I am expected to have the body of a 12-year old. Hellooo?!
Although the clothes may look good - where do I put my backside?!
(Ok, you're a guy. I suspect you won't understand... )

(Ok, you're a guy. I suspect you won't understand... ) | I completely understand what you mean. I have a similar problem in that when I shop for clothes they are all made for really short people and every pair of pants I try on looks like capris. I'm not even that tall! |
