I'm a huge fan of german beers, particularly the Augistiner Braurei in Munich. I was there a couple of summers ago and I finally understood what REAL beer is. Even the varieties that I don't usually consider myself a particular fan of were excellent. The Kolsch beers in Koln (I can't type umlauts) (Cologne), the beers we had in Dormagen... ahhhhh, memories.

Ohhhh good stuff. A stranger pointed out the peche to me a while back while I was trying to hunt down one (some, any) of the Voodoo varieties for a friend. He also suggested the framboise but it really didn't light my jets much. (He also suggested a half and half with the framboise and a chocolate stout. Don't think I'll go that route!) Methinks I should hunt down some of the Lindeman peche today since you were so kind as to bring it back to mind...

black magic

I've gotta show some love for my favorite (though only if on tap, not so much when bottled)... Magic Hat #9. Ahhh, it makes me so happy when I see that wonky 9-shaped tap at a bar, the only thing I like better than Guinness and Blue Moon.

(Ale with flavors of apricot, I kind of want to call it rich and crisp at the same time.)
