Grrreetings and Salutations! Hi all! I just joined this nifty place today!  I'm looking forward to interacting, as time permits. It's actually been a little while since I last had the opportunity to do much fencing.
Most of my experience and training (about 2 years worth) is in foil, but I've also dabbled in some saber (or sabre, however one spells it). I have yet to try Epee, but I hope to do so someday.

Welcome a-board, VR. But you don't really want to try epee, unless you are eager to relinquish the "Veloci" part of your name, and replace it with a word meaning very, very slow...

To answer Phoenix's question, it was indeed a pun that I found amusing, while I was looking for a username for Yahoo chat, ages ago. Not to broach theology on a fencing discussion-board, but part of my username has to do with my background as a Christian (VelociRaptured = Swiftly Raptured). The other part of the pun is that I think the raptor dinosaurs are cool, like in Jurassic Park.

Hehe, thanks for the welcome. ^_^ Yeah, I've heard Epee is much slower than the other two weapons, because it requires more conservative strategy and judicious use of aggression.
