New Favero T2005A timing chip?

Does anyone have any knowledge about the new Favero T2005A timing chip, which is supposed to ameliorate problem of the "micro breaks" in foil?

from the information I have seen here and on the uk forums I doubt you will be able to find out what the solution is; other than being told it is making use of filtering.
