LP epee wires matched with French/German epee points?

Hello! I know this question's come up before for foil, but I haven't found an answer for epee, so here goes:

Could anyone tell me if Leon Paul epee wires are compatible with non-LP French and/or German epee points?

I figure it's obviously a matter of the interior diameter of the barrel versus the exterior diameter of the contact cup (and also spring length and contact cup height), but I have no idea how those compare among French/German/LP points for epee. (I'm OK with basic foil armouring skills but am only just getting started with fencing and armouring in epee.)

Thanks!

Pretty much all epee wires are interchangable (except ones like the italian design and some screwless systems). Personally, I don't recommend the LP epee wires. I've a a high incidence of the wires pulling out of the cup. Try the PBT wires. They are soldered into the contacts.

Cool, thanks, that's good news. Well, except for the part about LP wires being prone to breakage, but hey, thanks for the tip about PBT wires!
