Not sure that's quite true. I suspect most of the small children who are terrified by clowns have never read ANY Steven King novels....

ah, since the image is an artistic interpretation of milanoli's mask, I don't think they have any ground for legalities. Also, the only thing that might make it, er, legaly unstable is the use of paolo's name.

Actually it was "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" that gave me that fear (good movie though)

Craig,

If I wasn't a fencer I would think the shirt was probably for a pro wrestler with the text.

..I'd wear it. But I think it'd be a bit cooler if it said 100% Italian (and below) 100% Badass.

I agree very much with that. I would maybe buy it then.

I don't think I'd buy this T-Shirt as it is, because it says "badass", and because the reference to Paolo is a little obscure for me.

If it were available in 2XLT or 3X and the badass was removed I would buy it. I would be more inclined to buy it if it were available in black or blue rather than white. I don't own any fencing shirts since I am a rather tall guy and no one seems to have them in anything more than a 2x and I am not big on the babydoll/navel ring style shirts for myself! Make it big enough and take off the wording that would get me dirty looks from the parents of my under 12 students and I would buy it just to own a fencing t-shirt!

No, Inquartata will just disagree with this obviously flawed poll.

I am wearing my "Fencing.net" tee-shirt as I type this. I much prefer the one I have on than the one you propose. It's a bit on the freaky side...Clowns on crack.

It would make for good T.V. though.

I think it's seriously ugly.

No

Because that mask was an embarrassment.
Not because it lacked decorum, because it lacked imagination. If you want to make a bold statement, it has to be at the very least, clever.

Go further, Craig

If you could engineer a "wicking" t-shirt under $24, I think you could sell it, whatever the design.

What I would do, is repeat the Peachtree Road Race idea.

Commission a design-for-the-year-or-the-event-or-whatever from all members, let all the artists in the community submit ideas, assemble a judges panel, pick a winner, "publish" the winning design on a high-tech wicking t-shirt, and sell it at a competitive price.

I think you'd create a collector item, and sell a lot of shirts.
