| Speaking of epee--how can anyone respect a weapon in which the *** is valid target?

| It's more like real dueling. If the epee was sharp, and we had no armor, yes the *** would be target. I think it's more fun that way, because you can hit in more places but you also have to defend more places too. As I’ve said in previous posts, I'm more of a right brained fencer, and epee is a right brained weapon because there’s no RoW, so we get along nicely. Then again, I like sabre because of the whacking, and foil because of the stricter rules. Hmm, I guess it depends on my mood, though epee is my first choice.

Sorry I couldn't resist!

Sorry I couldn't resist! | FYI and this has always thrown me off... but that crudgey old "church" man avatar is actually the representative of a female fencer! I do not understand why, of all the perfectly good images available, she uses that one that makes her posts seem as crudgey as the old man... but, I thought I'd advise you before you continue to roam around poking her in the ### unknowlingly. |

Of course - how do we know that you are indeed a woman, and that you not using the opacity of the internet to dabble in cross-gender posting?

And you, our very own fine Montoya, who as of yet (since you have not posted in the Hottie thread) is indistinquishable from a toad or kitten, has presented all of us with this year's question to ponder. Also mad props for the neo-confucism thought to ponder. Original or from the works of someone with whom I am unfamiliar?

| Just to clarify--I am indeed a female fencer, the avatar was originally chosen to match the quote in my sig, and I present some of the best foil target in the sport. So there.
(I am thinking of changing my avatar to avoid confusion--)
Oh, yeah--and "in a real duel" you would so go for your opponent's backside . . . just to watch him expire immediately from the brain damage.

| Never heard of Grimmerdale, but Hemingway had a batch of 'em. Six-toad kitten-toads, I mean.
