Any boxers in the house?

If so, do you find many similarities between boxing and fencing? Would you recommend it? This should be interesting.

Do a search on "boxing" and you'll find this topic has been discussed several times.

This is one of the more interesting threads regarding boxing.

i have some boxers in with my normal underwear.

i wear them to sleep.

there is, however, some debate about whether or not these are "girl" boxers (for girls to wear to sleep) or "boy" boxers (actually meant to be worn next to the skin for guys.)

my contention is that since an exboyfriend of mine complained that we had the same boxers, that they are indeed boy boxers.

in boxing distance and footwork are very important; same with fencing.

I boxed before I fenced and it has caused some problems with me. When I extend into the high line my shoulder comes up and I pronate my hand, like in a punch (hand pronation gives that nice jabby "snap" and the shoulder helps protect the head). I also started with the terrible habit of fencing with a tucked-in chin, but that went away quickly.

But boxing's endurance and explosiveness needs are similar to those of fencing.

Plus they're both sports whose name is a verb instead of a noun

(situation last week:

Jenna: What are you doing for Easter?

Me: Lying in bed, recovering from my tournament.

Samantha: Tournament? What sport do you play?

Me: I play... I fence.)

MyddinsPreint, don't sell yourself "short". You have just as much right to slip into your boxers as your ex did. I bet you look like a knockout in them too!
