| moviesssssss thought i'd post up a thread about upcoming movies i'd like to see.
sin city - holy crap i want to see this movie so bad i'm about to pee my pants thinking about it. i'm gonna try and convince the team to find a theater and watch it when we're in michigan for club champs. any of the other teams want to see if we can get together and buy out an entire showing to see it?
kung fu hustle - i'd like to see the american version of this. saw it in mandarin, no sub or dub. its definitely worth seeing, but the sfx just kind of escalated until an amazing eruption of rediculousness at the end, which kind of irked me a bit.
hitchiker's guide to the galaxy - for a while i was worried they would screw this up. previews make it look awesome, i'm anxiously awaiting it with open arms. i expect good things.
star wars: episode 3 - crap, it looks kind of neat despite the disappointment of the last two. i'm going to see it out of principle and wash my hands of the whole thing.
anyone else have any thoughts or movies they want to see? |

Also, there's the remake of the willy wonka movie... |

| Have you seen the lava in Episode 3? HOLY CRAP, they're going to have a LIGHTSABRE FIGHT THERE!!!
I'm looking forward to that scene in episode 3. Hitchhiker's might be good, but with the style of humor in the book, they could really screw it up. (Like A Series of Unfortunate Events.) |

| I want to see the movie "Gunner Palace" which is about a battalion in Iraq the director sort of just tagged along with. It is the soldiers telling their own story about how they feel about the war. Very interesting. http://www.gunnerpalace.com/

| I'm pre-purchasing my tickets for Sin City on Fri morning.
The new Batman looks awesome
Terry Gilliam has a new one coming out later this year
George Romero's Land of the Dead is coming out in Oct
Peter Jackson's King Kong is scheduled for release in Dec (but I'm not holding him to that since it's still in production)

We got to share the commisary tent and snack bar, and I had coffee with my dear friend Naomi. Well, we sat at the same table. The kid (David Dorfmann?) came and asked what we were doing, and I gave him a tour of the site...seemed like a bright little guy and asked great questions. Oh, and there was a dwarf asking questions too.
We're most known for the filming here of Goonies, as well as Kindergarten Cop and Short Circuit and Teenage Mutant blah blah 3 and some other films. Oh, that Free Willy one.

| I'm really looking forward to:
Batman Begins
Sin City (how good does that movie look!)
Brothers Grimm (Terry Gilliam's)
Episode 3 is getting the big body swerve. I've been insulted twice - never again. Lucas doesn't understand the concept that less can actually be more ...
Transformers should be cool, unfortunately they've got Spielberg involved ...
And Hitchhiker. Douglas Adams actually penned the script so it should be very funny and true to his books. Apparently it will be different. I think they got Zaphod wrong. |

the bourne identity (i liked supremacy.)
closer
oceans 11 (and now 12).

perhaps a series of unfortunate events?
