| What type of music do you work out to? Hip-hop? Metal? The Rocky theme? Personally, I've always been partial to Back in Black. I start jogging at Hell's Bells and finish at Rock n' Roll Ain't Noise Pollution.
But that's just me.
How about you?

| I like Celtic music, especially a band called Gaelic Storm. When I'm listening to it I always want to get up and jig, so it's perfect for working out. Or if I don't want to listen to music, I'll listen to a book-on-tape which works well also. Right now I'm listening to Abarat by Clive Barker, and then I'll move on to The Lord of the Rings.

| I work out best when angry. So angry music works for me.

| Big Band jazz (Voodoo Daddies, for example), mambo, Leo Kottke...mostly stuff with tempo changes.

| Apocalyptica, the Moog Cookbook, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes... something upbeat. I'll occasionally work out using the TV as a distraction, but only when I'm on the treadmill - I keep losing track of reps when I watch TV and do weights.

| sometimes classical music works quite well for working out =) doesn't exactly pump you up, but gives you something more complicated to concentrate on and ignore the strain of whatever youre doing. for me it just depends on my mood, although shostakovich isn't exactly my favorite, if i went the classical route i would probably go for some rachmaninoff or prokofiev or something of that sort ;p good to know theres someone else out there that appreciates real music (other than the wannabes that think classical music consists of mozart and beethoven.. how deprived they are)! |

| Depence.
In my work I hear Heavy Metal bands (Blind Guardian, Manowar, Candlemass, Runing Wild etc) if I have presure from my clients, if I have not presure I hear pop.
In my home I hear 'electro gothic' because my brother has a band (Genetic Variation) so I hear his songs and other songs (especialy German groups).
When we played role playing games(such as Dungeon and Dragons) we hear (all my team) classical music, or folk.

| I usually listen to dance trance, club music or pitched music meaning, music used in taebo lessons. It's usually consisted of pop hits tuned up to 155 or 160 beats per minute. Keeps me going.....
