| I think that one might qualify as a relative evil. You know Inq you could show everyone how wrong they were to allow colored uniforms by wearing the most garish thing ever sewn!

| You know, the Devil is widely known as the Prince of Lies and the world's foremost practitioner of temptation into ruin... |

| Just imagine how everyone would realize their mistakes when in walks Inq in something that would cause children and innocent maidens to gasp in horror. Oh you would show them!

First, I'm not an anthropologist, or even someone who wants to be an anthropologist. Second, isn't "understanding" akin to such ideas as "scientifically" categorizing, explaining, and deconstructing the "other" in the context of one's own cultural (and therefore inherently moral, as I believe those are inextricably intertwined) structure? I have problems with an inherently western discipline that believes it has the right to study and interpret peoples it sees as alien. I have problems with any "social science" with allusions of objectivity. Any study of anything that involves humans is inherently subjective and "moral". Besides, your definition is a very limited one that a lot of anthropologists would argue with.
I'm not anti-anthropology, obviously, as I just declared an Anthropology major at Haverford College, I just think you're on the wrong track here.....

| Hi!
I do not believe in the Devil, or any other religious figure for that matter.
I do, however, believe that all people have plenty of ability to do evil. Some, but by no means all, people also have the ability to do good.
Have a nice time!

Peter Gustafsson | This reminds me of what that guy said in The Italian Job. "I trust everybody. I just don't trust the devil inside them". Everyone has the capacity. Some use it more then others. You just have to trust a person to act according to their nature. *shrugs*

| I agree with Peter and many of you,
I don't believe in the devil or hell, but evil exists in us all. Just look at the current administration |

| devil? i really really cannot be bothered. u are just making your life complicated. assuming evil doings are his doings, but evil doings by what? evil doings by MANKIND. we have the ability to think, to analyze situations. its all down to CONTROL of the body. the want to do evil is but a working of a dark side hidden in all humans. not some supernatural coercing the human into doing evil. If the human is strong willed enough, he can override that dark side... agree? having said that. i don't give a **** if he exists or not, i KNOW i can stick up to evil influences and not fall to them.

| Evil does walk among man. It knows no morals, it has no qualms. No concept of bad, living day to day for its own self-satisfaction. No modesty, no sense of decency. It knows only pain or pleasure. It sleeps between feedings, it is always there in the back of your mind. Selfish, destructive, greedy and it poops.
Yes, evil walks among us and by the social definition of evil: evil thy name is man-child!
Kids are evil. Don't agree? Just watch more than 2 or 3 play for a few hours. As long as they don't know you're watching, you'll be staring straight into the face of Satan...
