| Fault-locking test box I'm looking to get a fault-locking test box; does anyone have any recommendation between LP or Favero or maybe some other company? |

| Not quite sure of what exactly a 'fault-locking' test box is. Can you explain?

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe HDG is referring to the test boxes with indicator lights that come on after a break in the circuit, so you can tell where breaks are even if you didn't see the normal indicator light flash off. |

| Ah. Understand now. Not that I can help, but at least I understand! Looking forward to seeing if someone can help you out.

| There may not be much difference. The picture of the "test box with fault lock LED" on Leon Paul's web site looks like a repackaged Favero A-1 tester. |

| I have not seen the Leon Paul, but I assume it will be very similar to the Favero. It is good as a back up for regular testing and for testing intermitencies.
Some notes and Favero does indicate it in its instructions. This is not to replace regular testing. The box will show the weapon is working, even if there is hundreds of ohms resistence in the circutry. Also have a spare battery. The intermitency (yellow) light stops working long before the red and green light.
Other then that, it is nice to have.

| That is probly due to the voltage requirement on the chip they use. Ditto on the lights and sensitivity, the red light on the favero lights up if you touch the blade and the tester at the same time... |

| Zivkovic has a very nice tester that has that function. They're a tad proud of it (40$), but very worth it when you're trying to test foils that go off intermittently.
Edit: I just realized how old this thread was. Was searching for something else and came across this...
