Anyway, congratulations on your new home, fencerontheline. I think you have got an excellent deal as well - my first shared flat in London cost me 400 quid a month, which is about $760 - even though exchange rates have changed since 2000, that's still a fair difference. For $350, or £184, you would seriously get nothing in London. No studio, no rented room, nothing. So well done you!
Property prices/rent in London are notoriously high and so many people can't afford them. In fact I am going to go to another site and find the smallest flat to rent in the nastiest area of London I can think of, and tell you all how much it costs. Back soon...
