What happened to the US team in Stockholm?

Does anyone know what happened to the epee team? This is the worst finish that they have had at a team event in the past two seasons. Kelsey and Mattern both finished well in the individual, and the other Americans there all have some experience fencing international team events. I am surprised that they did not finish higher than Canada.

My brother just got back from fencing in Stockholm... we (GB) beat you (US), but I'm not sure at what stage!

everyone has off days.
you'd figure it possible for all 3 to eventually coordinate their off days, and this is what you get when it happens.

Or maybe the Brits just fenced really well and beat them...?

Our swedish team did very decent (8th).

What surprises me the most is the 'lousy' result from the swiss team!

The Swiss team isn't that strong. Marcel Fisher is very strong, but in epee you need to have a very well rounded team, you cannot have good results with one star and 2 or 3 average fencers.
