| No results up as yet, but I suspect them to be posted at http://www.challengebernadotte.org, alternatively at http://www.fencing.se as soon as possible.
The only thing posted so far is that 5 swedes are still 'on' for tomorrows DE's. Yay!

| "Challenge Bernadotte" Stockholm, SWE. I just thought I'd share some additional links about the Mens Épée WC "Challenge Bernadotte" which took place in Stockholm (SWE) this past weekend.

| I was referring to the last world championships in La Havana. The Russian team got stuck in Paris because of a strike, and as a result Kolobkov wasn't allowed to fence in the individual men's epee event.
It is kind of fitting that it happens to the French team this time, since some people think that Fabrice Jeannet might have benefited from the strike last time ;-).
It is however going to be complicated for the French national team selections, since Stockholm was one of the tournaments that the French national coach had decided to use as a qualifying tournament.

fabrice did lose to him the year before in the final (good bout). now he just has to win with kolobkov there..but there are sooo many other good guys there...
by the way is the national coach that shaved headed guy i always see in the dvd's?? he needs to coach ME!! |

| Yes,the bald guy is the French epee team's coach This is a bit off topic, but it seems to have been quite a while since a high level French coach has moved to the U.S. Any particular reason? I know that, at least at Div. I schools, coaches are paid a decent salary. |
