| how to get to the USACFC How do you qualify for or enter the USACFCs? Are you required to have a full team? Are you required to be recognized as a sports team by the university or college you attend? I've tried to find some information on it and all I could find was that MSU page with the venue/hotel info. |

If other people happen to be there, that's cool too I s'pose
Our flight leaves providence at 12 noon I believe, it should be a ~3 hour flight. | ... you guys are flying out of TF Green???
we're flying out of Bradley.
(wave hello to my house-- if you're at the airport, wave in the direction of hooters. my house will be about a mile, mile and a half away.)
But, yes. As the Vice-President of the club Elect, It is my job to foster inter-team communication and organize events off the Smith College Campus------ i think it's actually my DUTY to interact with all of you.
PS-- look for the red Boa. the sabre alternate will probably be wearing it more than i will....... but she can point you in my direction.

I've tried to find some information on it and all I could find was that MSU page with the venue/hotel info. | Any school can join the association by paying an annual fee of (I believe) $50 (due in December, I believe on the 15th). As a member school you are entitled to enter the event (paying a separate entry fee, due in February). Full teams are not required. School recognition isn't required.
There was a website up formerly ( http://www.usacfc.org) which has been gone for at least a couple of months. I strongly suspect that a similar website will be recreated after then event next week and should be a good source of information. Depending on whether or not the domain name is gone off to a squatter, the URL may need to change.
Officers of the association (at least for the next week), and therefore reasonable people to contact, are Bruce Capin (Florida), Jon Moss (New Hampshire), Paul Schimmelman (Texas) or myself (Brad Baker, Temple). If you PM me I can pass along email addresses or answer any questions that apply just to you rather than the board as a whole.

| Temple leaves Philadelphia in less than 24 hours. Well, the school is unlikely to leave the city. The members of the fencing club going to USACFC Champs are leaving in less than 24 hours. Well, actually that's when we leave campus. I think there's an intermediate stop for a rental car that might still be in the city and put us just over that 24-hour figure.
Going to be strange being there with a team other than UMass....
