| You do realise that setting a minimum violates your agreement with MC/Visa. Technically if someone wants to charge 45 cents on their card you have to accept it. It's in the agreement. I had a place turn me down for trying to charge 18.00 once. I understand why they do this, but i didn't have any. cash on me. So I called Visa. Needless to say their policy changed within two days. |

| Speaking of rewiring equipment, just before a local competition, the armorer in our 'salle' refused to rewire my 2nd epee, he was busy working on all the important stuff, he needed to test the boxes and didn't feel my epee was worth looking at. i am very dissapointed, that someone would come into a salle and introduce themselves as an amorer, tell people he would assist them with repair work, then back out, and the whole thing is about their embarrassment in accepting cash money from women, and we really don't care about a few dollars, it's really just a courtesy than anything else, and i would just put an amorer fund somewhere with the secretary, who then periodically buys wires, screws and tips for the club, who then gives it to the armorer for weapon repair. |

Sheesh! I've had times where I had multiple weapons to fix. The folks who needed the repair fastest got it done first. Folks who weren't going to be back in the salle for a week get put behind those going to a tourney the next day.
I would've stuck around and fixed the thing!
Where are you at? |

| Don't take this the wrong way 135711, but the best solution to your problem is to learn to fix your own equipment. It's just a good skill to have. For me of course part of this stems from my senes of whatever-the-female-equivalent-of-machismo-is, that dictates that just because I'm a girl, doesn't mean I can't fix my stuff. Appropos to nothing I also check various automotive fluids, can jump start cars, change tires and make minor home and plumbing repairs. Anyway, sometimes it's just more convenient to fix it yourself rather than wait around for the armourer to have time to fit you in. I've learned that the hard way. For some reason though, none of the armourers I've met have had any trouble taking my money
Given what you said though, I'd feel gyped too. If I were in his place, which I'm not sure I'd want to be, I would have tried to fit you in eventually.
On the other hand, I understand how things back up on armourers. When half the club is nagging at you to hurry up and do their weapon, and everyone is complaining about the bad shape the reels and boxes are in, I imagine it can get frustrating, especially given the human tendency to think that one's problem is the most important.
I can't judge your situation, since I don't have all the details. If nothing else was a "rush job" and he just didn't feel like looking at your weapon, then you have every right to be angry, on the other there's only so much one person can get done in a night.
As for not wanting to take money from women. It's his loss, if he doesn't want to take your money, you can certainly find someone else who would be happy to do so.

| The reason why I put that on is Propay the internet Company I am using as put a limit of a $1000.00 a month total for three months and a maxdiuam of 250.000 on any one card.
When I do local stuff I repair reels trouble shot people weapons gave out advice on how to fix weapons. But here again I been doing armory work longer then most people been fencing.
