| Should poll's be held in a sub-forum? Lately, there have been a lot of polls about all kind of things, and it
is a bit tiring to be honest.
That said, who is all in favor of putting the polls in a special subforum?
I didn't made a poll of this, so please give your opinion written.

| I find that polls spark discussion, and provide a way for people to express their opinion.
It's a nice option for people who may not feel comfortable writing.

| No opinion.
But I am in favor of omitting unnecessary apostrophe's from message title's for poll's and other subject's. |

| There will not be subforums for polls. They are a tool to spark discussion.
However, if enough of the community wants to split out sections for foil, epee, and sabre, then I would consider it.

| No, I think there is enough overlap between foil, epee and sabre to provide valuable insights between them. |

| I could see "Saber Zone" dying pretty quickly, due to lack of participants, and lack of intelligent conversation.

| how about limiting the frequency with which members can start polls and/or shortening the time the poll is active? |

| ...while "Epee Zone" would quickly degenerate into a roaring flame war as people disregard defending or explaining their own opinions and merely launch into an immediate counter attack, thereby accurately capturing the essence of epee...
Leave the polls as they are.

Leave the polls as they are. | See, you used the word degenerate when I think you meant to say transcend, or something like that.

| Polls in a weird way work. They sample the power and intelligence of the community. They are routinely well supported by members. As research they are imperfect, but OK enough, and probably, actually, fairly accurate (mass typically overcomes imperfection). And they are fun.
Besides which, Craig says they belong in Fencing Discussion. I agree.
