Array Athens footage Hi,
I found out while reading Fencing.Net's French sister site, escrime-info, that some footage from Athens is available on the P2P network eMule.
To get it, fire up you eDonkey compatible P2P software, such as eMule, eDonkey, ShareReactor, etc. and search for "escrime athens". You should get a list of files with videos from the olympic games. Most of them are foil bouts. - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)
- To not recognize the power of the French grip is to be in denial

All I got were some four files, all of which are foil.
Anyone did any better? Did anyone get the U.S Russia match? -

Array In addition to the files that are currently there (which I belived were shared originally by someone from Italy, so it's normal there is a lot of foil), I am currently building myself a personal video recorder, (sort of a like a TiVo box, but running on my own computer with my software).
Once it's all setup and working, I plan on recording any and all fencing footage I can get on TV, and share it on the Donkey network.
For instance, I think that Sport+ is planning on airing the final for the Monal Challenge which is coming up in Paris in a couple of weeks. So keep watching for stuff like this on P2P. - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)

veeco, use bittorrent instead.
its better and if you want to share the file, just post a link instead of telling people to go open up and search (which might not work) -

Array Is this stuff still up there, cause I can't find it. The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -
