As far as the Germam point question....all the German points Fencing Post (and I) sell are Uhlmann...not all german points are Uhlmann, tho., |

| The only times I have seen the new LP GT foil points be erratic at all is if the screws are over or under tightened. This can lead to broken contact or stuck tips but it is less the fault of the point and more the fault of the person assembling them. Used correctly with reasonable maintence, other than replacing springs (they seem to go through them at a slightly higher rate than the German points, mainly due to less resistance and the smoother travel of the LP tips I would guess) I have found them to be the most reliable of the big three point designs (LP, German and French).
