    Hi, i'm new to the forums here
    I've been doing epee for about three monthes, does anyone know anyway for me to gauge myself as opposed to the rest of the fencing world? i was wondering

    Hello, and welcome to the sport and the boards!

    Attend tournaments. That's the only real way to see how you're progressing.
    But don't be in too much of a hurry; doing it right is more important than doing it fast.

    Lochinvar is right, tournaments are the best way to gauge yourself, even if you don't compete, you can get an idea by just watching.

    What part of NY are you in? There's a lot going on near NYC, less in other places. Let me know and I'll give you a hand find something near you.

    I'm on long island, nassau county
    If there is stuff going on in the sity, I could get there, I go to the AC on sundays, so if there is something in the city on sunday afternoons, i could go to that

    There's a list of clubs in NY. There are several within fairly easy reach of you. A lot have site that'll give you an idea of prices, times, competitions, etc.
