| EnGuarde users please help askFRED.net Hi folks-
I know this is kind of a repeat thread, but:
I am working on supporting EnGuarde tournament software in askFRED.net, and i've run into a dead end. I've seen examples of EnGuarde's XML results output, but i can't find where in the program you export that file. I have installed EnGuarde version 8, and run a test tournament. Now i see where to export the results in that delimited text file, but not the XML export.
Please help?
(I also plan to support XSeed, but that will be harder, so i'm doing the easier one first. )

export to HTML, separate fields for club, state, nationality, world rank, FIE licence number,
More than one round of poules? I'm just playing with it to find out what it can't do...
Eliminations out of the poules?
Senior world cup format? Junior world cup format? |

| DJApostrophe is the forum member I would go to for this, since I believe A.B. taught him how to use the thing. Do you have a copy of En Guarde Source that I could see (and what language is it written in)?
EDIT: It seems A.B. included how to output files as part of his index, but forgot to write about it... in any case, my attempts to find a solution have come to naught, since it gives me an error every time I try to run the thing.
I could see writing a script that transferred text files to XML in the proper format... You first, though.

Some clarifications though:
EnGuarde supposedly already has this XML export feature. I've been given example XML files that were from EG by an EG user. We're not talking about having to program it to do it (at least i don't think so), so no source code necessary.
If only i could find the feature. Maybe it's in a different version of the app from the one i have.....
Maybe I'll bug DJApostrophe about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

| I should clarify that the desire for the EG source was a tangent. It is possible that the XML feature was not in your version; A.B.'s EG how to dosn't even mention it. |

Yeah, the FIE site mentions the XML, so i've D/L'ed a fresh copy of EG from there, and I'll see if that is the problem as soon as i can get it installed.
Now if VirtualPC wasn't so DOG slow on my machine....
Thanks again.

| Yup. it was a version problem. v8.12 from FIE.ch site has the XML export.
On to the next problem! Wheee!
