| Summer Nationals I'm going on vacation at the end of June through Jul 2nd, so the question is this: When does the USFA usually post event schedules for Summer Nationals? Anyone have a rough guess or remember from past Nationals? |

| I called the USFA several weeks ago and on the recording (I was only half listening) I believe they said that they hope to have it posted in mid to late March. I wouldn't hold your breath, tho. |

| There may be a draft schedule out (based on something I heard as a committee member) but if so, it's being circulated so people can raise objections and notice conflicts, and then it will be changed. No one will know for sure when anything is until at least mid-March.

| Ditto. Your best bet is simply to log on and check regularly. No quicker/easier way about it. |

| The times, OTOH, will not be posted until (a) all of the cheap airfares have lapsed, and/or (b) the day after THS releases their remaining special-rate hotel rooms back to general use ( at higher prices )... |

| The times will not be posted until the number of entries is known. This occurs slightly after the entry deadline.

| That...makes no sense to me. Why should 40 sabre fencers start at 1 p.m., but 45 means an 8 a.m. start? I cannot see the relevance. |

| It is not just about the entries in one event.
All the entries in all the events scheduled on a day need to be worked into the set number of strips and referees that will be working that day.
That's the simple answer of course. |

| Wonderful. They've put the IA WS on the same day as the Vet 40-50-60 WS. That means I have one event. One event in the whole freaking Nationals.

| I contacted a few people about this schedule today with a few scheduling questions (concerns) of my own. People who should have seen this schedule before me (actually who should have been working on it) - didn't know about it.
I received it from the USFA office, with no other information included. It didn't appear to me to be a draft or a working copy. I believed it to be the official schedule being released.
I would personally recommend that you hold off making expensive plans based on this version.
I don't ever want to pass around unreliable info, so maybe just wait a longer and see what will happen. |

They are very nice people, and I enjoy seeing them, mind you. But I am disappointed.

| Same for DI-A MS and Veterans MS: same day. At least I can still do Div II. And it means that I don't have to bother with Sectionals this year....
The trip is also considerably shorter for me. Still, I repeat my refrain: Stupid USFA! |
